Paul's Removals Cyprus
Operated under JR Master Cooperation Cyprus · Removals & Relocation · Cyprus
Effective from2 October 2026
Governing law: Republic of Cyprus
These Terms and Conditions govern every removal, relocation, packing, and storage job accepted by Paul's Removals Cyprus, operated under JR Master Cooperation Cyprus ("the Company", "we", "us"). By accepting a quotation or confirming a booking, the customer ("you") accepts these terms in full.
01
Definitions
"The Company" means Paul's Removals Cyprus, operated under JR Master Cooperation Cyprus.
"Customer" means the person or entity booking the removal, packing, or storage service.
"Goods" means all furniture, boxes, and personal property to be moved, packed, or stored on the Customer's behalf.
"Removal" means the collection, transport, and delivery of Goods between the agreed addresses.
"Quotation" means the price given for a Removal before work begins, based on the information and access described to us.
02
Quotations & Surveys
Quotations are based on the inventory, access details, and distance described by the Customer, whether provided over the phone, by photo or video, or during an in-person survey. A quotation is an estimate unless expressly confirmed in writing as fixed.
If the actual volume of Goods, number of boxes, or access conditions on the day (stairs, lift availability, parking distance, narrow lanes) differ materially from what was described, the Company reserves the right to adjust the price or crew size required, and will inform the Customer as soon as this becomes apparent.
Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date issued.
03
Booking & Deposit
A booking is confirmed once the Customer accepts the quotation and, where applicable, pays the agreed deposit. Dates are held on a first-confirmed basis; an unconfirmed booking may be released to another customer.
The deposit secures the crew, vehicle, and time slot for the agreed date and is deducted from the final invoice. Deposit refund terms are set out in Section 12.
04
Inventory & Access
The Customer is responsible for providing an accurate inventory and for arranging suitable access at both the collection and delivery addresses, including parking for the removal vehicle, lift bookings in apartment buildings, and any permits required by a municipality or building management.
Where access on the day requires a longer carry, a smaller shuttle vehicle, or additional crew that was not anticipated in the quotation, extra charges may apply and will be explained before the work continues.
The Customer should disclose any particularly heavy, oversized, or high-value items (pianos, safes, fine art, antiques) at the time of booking so the right equipment and crew can be arranged.
05
Packing Services
Where the Company provides a packing service, our crew will pack Goods using materials appropriate to each item. Where the Customer packs their own boxes, the Company is not responsible for damage to the contents of boxes it did not pack, unless the damage results from the Company's mishandling of the box itself.
Fragile or high-value items packed by the Customer should be clearly labelled. Unlabelled fragile items packed by the Customer are moved at the Customer's own risk.
06
Our Responsibilities During the Move
The Company will handle all Goods with reasonable care and skill, using trained crew and suitable vehicles and equipment. We will take reasonable precautions to protect floors, walls, and doorways at both properties, and will raise any pre-existing damage with the Customer before work begins.
07
Items We Cannot Move
The Company cannot transport the following unless a separate written agreement is made: flammable, explosive, or hazardous substances (gas bottles, fuel, paints, chemicals), firearms and ammunition, perishable food, live plants or animals, and cash, jewellery, or other valuables of significant worth, which the Customer should transport personally.
If such items are found packed among Goods without disclosure, the Company may refuse to transport them and is not liable for any resulting loss.
08
Insurance & Liability
The Company carries carrier's liability insurance covering Goods while in our care, subject to the policy's terms and limits. The Customer may also arrange additional goods-in-transit insurance for high-value items, and we recommend doing so for antiques, electronics, and items of sentimental or above-average value.
The Company's liability for loss or damage to Goods is limited to the lower of the item's depreciated value or the applicable insurance limit, and does not extend to items the Customer packed themselves (see Section 05), pre-existing damage, or ordinary wear consistent with the item's age and condition.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Cyprus law.
09
Storage
Where Goods are placed into short- or long-term storage, storage charges apply from the date Goods enter storage and are billed at the rate agreed at booking. Goods in storage remain insured under the terms of Section 08 unless otherwise agreed.
Goods left in storage beyond the agreed period without payment or further instruction may be subject to additional charges, and the Company reserves rights available to it under Cyprus law regarding unpaid storage of goods.
10
Delays & Rescheduling
Removal times given are estimates. Traffic, weather, ferry or customs delays (for cross-border moves), and access issues at either property can affect timing. The Company will keep the Customer informed of any significant delay on the day.
11
Payment
All prices are quoted in euro (€) and include applicable VAT at the rate in force in the Republic of Cyprus, unless stated otherwise. The balance of the invoice, after any deposit, is due on completion of the removal unless a different schedule has been agreed in writing.
The Company may retain Goods until outstanding charges for a completed Removal are paid in full, as recognised under Cyprus law.
12
Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the booked date receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations within 72 hours may forfeit the deposit, to cover the crew and vehicle held for that slot. Rescheduling with at least 48 hours' notice is free of charge, subject to availability.
13
Claims for Loss or Damage
Any loss or damage should be noted on the delivery paperwork at the time, where possible, and reported to the Company in writing within 7 days of delivery. Claims reported after this period may be more difficult to assess and verify against the condition of Goods at collection.
14
Data Protection
The Company collects and processes personal data (such as name, contact details, and addresses) only as needed to provide the Removal, issue invoices, and comply with legal obligations, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Cyprus data protection law. Data is not sold or shared with third parties except where required to carry out the service or by law.
15
Complaints
Any concern about a Removal should be raised with the Company as soon as reasonably possible, ideally in writing. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them fairly. If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, the Customer may refer the matter to the Cyprus Consumer Protection Service.
16
Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for delay or failure to perform a Removal caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including extreme weather, strikes, border or customs restrictions, or governmental restrictions.
17
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms or a Removal falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights the Customer may have.
